Privacy Policy

This policy explains how pute.us ("we", "us") collects and uses personal information through the pute.us Veterinary Resource Library at ebooks.pute.us (the "Site").

Information we collect

When you request an ebook, we collect:

• Your work email address (required), used to send your download link and, with your consent, our marketing emails.
• Your practice name, if you choose to provide it.
• A record of your consent: which ebook you requested, the consent wording you agreed to and when you agreed.
• Technical information: your IP address at sign-up (stored by our email provider as evidence of consent), and the information Cloudflare Turnstile processes to tell people from automated bots.

We do not ask for payment information or information about your clients or patients.

How we use your information

• To email you a personal, time-limited link to download the ebook you requested.
• To send you veterinary technology tips, cybersecurity resources and occasional information about our managed IT services, as described in the consent statement on the request form.
• To understand which resources are useful (for example, which ebooks are requested).
• To protect the Site from spam, fraud and abuse.

Subscribing to our emails is required to receive a free ebook. We never sell your personal information.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the Site:

• Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.) stores our mailing list and sends our emails, including the email containing your download link.
• Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the Site and provides Turnstile, our privacy-focused spam protection.

These providers process information on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments. They may process data in the United States.

Download links

Download links are cryptographically signed, work only for the ebook you requested and expire 24 hours after they are created. Links do not contain your email address or other personal information. Anyone who has your link can use it until it expires, so please do not forward it.

Cookies and tracking

The Site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may process technical data needed to deliver the Site securely and to run the Turnstile check. Our marketing emails may use standard email open and click tracking provided by Mailchimp.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any of our emails.
• Access, correct or delete your information: contact us through pute.us. Some US states give residents additional rights, which we will honor as required by law.

Retention

We keep your contact information while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal record so we can honor your choice not to receive marketing email. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Security

We protect the Site with encrypted connections (HTTPS), spam protection, strict security headers and signed, expiring download links. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

The Site is intended for veterinary professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
